Training in oral and maxillofacial surgery is hospital-based and requires up to 6 years of schooling beyond dental school. As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, our doctors manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth and facial region. We practice a full scope of surgery with expertise ranging from wisdom tooth removal to complicated corrective jaw reconstruction, including cleft palate. Dr. Jui diagnoses and treats facial pain and TMJ disorders, dental and facial trauma and performs a full range of dental and anesthesia in the office setting. Patients are monitored electronically during and after surgery.

Scheduling

Dr. Jui's office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. We will schedule your appointment as soon as possible. If you have an emergency, every attempt will be made to see you that day.

Because oral surgery involves so many varied and complex treatments, it is sometimes difficult to maintain and exact schedule. Various circumstances, emergencies and late patients may extend the time allocated to a given procedure. We try to minimize delays, but we appreciate your understanding and patience when they do occur.

Consultation

Your initial appointment will consist of a consultation for a thorough examination and treatment plan. In most cases, surgery is provided at a separate appointment. Certain cases with complex medical histories or treatment plans may require further evaluation and consultation with other health care providers before a treatment plan can be developed.

A preoperative consultation and physical examination at our office is mandatory for patients undergoing intravenous anesthesia for surgery.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your consultation:

• Your surgical referral form from your primary doctor and any X-rays films that are appropriate.
• A list of any medications you may be taking.
• If you have health insurance, evidence of current coverage, a card with group and policy numbers, and necessary employer information.

IMPORTANT: All patients under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at the consultation visit.

Surgical Staff

Dr. Jui's staff members are experienced, well trained, CPR-certified surgical assistants, many with hospital OR training. Our administrative personnel are experienced and well-versed in health insurance coverage.
